Google Services Consent Information

To Parents and Guardians,

At Dickson Public Schools, we use Google Workspace for Education and are seeking your permission to provide and manage a Google Workspace for Education account for your child. Google Workspace for Education is a suite of productivity tools from Google—including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Classroom, and more—used by millions of students and teachers worldwide.

Students at Dickson Public Schools will use their Google Workspace for Education accounts to complete assignments, communicate with teachers, sign into Chromebooks, and develop essential digital citizenship skills for the 21st century.

The notice linked via the QR code provides answers to common questions regarding your child’s personal information, including:

- What personal information does Google collect?

- How does Google use this information?

- Will Google disclose my child’s personal information?

- Does Google use student personal information for K-12 users to target advertising?

- Can my child share information with others using the Google Workspace for Education account?

Please review the notice carefully. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to info@dickson.k12.ok.us. To indicate that you have read the notice and provide your consent, please sign below. If you do not provide consent, a Google Workspace for Education account will not be created for your child.

Since Google Workspace is deeply integrated into the school’s curriculum, lack of access may limit your child's ability to fully participate in learning activities.

Below are two documents regarding Google Workspace for Education:

1. Google Services Parental Consent Form – This document requires your signature as a Parent/Guardian to grant permission for your child’s use of Google services.
2. Google Services Parental Consent - Disclosure and Privacy Notice – This document provides details on how Google services are used within our school, including privacy and data protection measures.

Thank you,
